| | accomplished | ] | So I got a nudge recently to update my journal, it's been over a year now i see...
I have entered into an apprenticeship program to be an electrician. I love my job and I am learning a lot and having fun.
I went to Maui, Hawaii recently with my partner, Rabbitt, and we got engaged on a tropical beach. We chose to get tattoos rather than rings to celebrate, the first piece we got is sea turtles. I'll post a picture on myspace.
We are also pregnant. Our child is due in late January and we suspect a girl.
We have a niceish house in SE portland where we are gardening and enjoying life. We have not yet set a date for the wedding, but it will be far enough out to give travelers plenty of time to make preparations.
I have met a couple guys I have been playing music with, it could turn into another band in the next few months, if we find a steady place to practice.
how are you? |

there is scary stuff going on in our food supply. you are what you eat is not just a trueism, we constantly replenish our bodies using the materials we feed ourselves with, and just like any other system; garbage in, garbage out. Eat healthy y'all! |

Thursday I have to go get my formal wear before I can come to the park, so it may be 5:00 before I get there.
do bring food. PotLuck is the way to go. I'll make sure there is charcoal to grill stuff, and I will bring something vegan and organic.
I plan to be at the picnic area below the falls, but I haven't been to the park in years, so i don't know how much detail i can give. I hope to see you there. |

Hey Minneapolis people:
I am going to be visiting in a couple weeks, and I was thinking about having a picnic at Minnehaha Falls park on thursday July 20. I am thinking of getting to the park around 4 or 5 and stay until the bugs drive me off. If enough people are interested it can be a potluck. comments are welcome. |

US Mandatory MILITARY DRAFT 18-42 quietly snuck in!
As described at http://thomas.loc.gov/cgi-bin/query/z?c109:H.R.4752.IH:
on February 14, 2006, Congressman Charles Rangel (NY) introduced a bill (Universal National Service Act of 2006 - HR 4752 IH) aiming at drafting everyone - men and women alike - from the ages of 18 to 42 into the military for a minimum period of 2 years. Or to quote the bill: "To provide for the common defense by requiring all persons in the United States, including women, between the ages of 18 and 42 to perform a period of military service or a period of civilian service in furtherance of the national defense and homeland security, and for other purposes." The House is to convene on June 6 (06/06/06] to debate and possibly adopt this bill, that is, unless a vast public outcry succeeds in derailing this insanity, which you can do by writing a letter of protest to your congress person through http://www.conservativeusa.org/mega-cong.htm or http://www.webslingerz.com/jhoffman/congress-email.html |
